Questions About Our Walks?

Everything you need to know about exploring the Gap of Dunloe and Kerry's lakeside trails

The full guided experience takes around 4 to 5 hours including time to take in the views and learn about the valley's geology and history. We keep a comfortable pace that's suitable for most fitness levels, with built-in rest stops where you can catch your breath and enjoy the scenery.

Not at all. Our lakeside trails are graded as gentle to moderate, and we welcome walkers of all abilities. The terrain is well-established paths, and we adjust the pace to the group. Families with kids aged 8+ regularly join us, and we've had walkers in their 70s and 80s enjoying the experience.

Late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) are perfect—you get good weather and fewer crowds. Summer works too, though it's busier. Winter can be stunning if you're prepared for cold and wet conditions. We run walks year-round, so there's never a bad time to experience the valley.

Waterproof jacket (it's Kerry—weather changes fast), comfortable walking shoes, and layers. We also recommend a small backpack with water, snacks, and sun protection. Check out our packing essentials guide for a detailed checklist.

We keep groups to a maximum of 12 people. This keeps things intimate, lets you hear our guide's stories about the landscape and local history, and means everyone gets proper attention. It's small enough to feel personal, but large enough to share the experience with others.

Absolutely. Let us know when you book about any dietary requirements, mobility needs, or other considerations. We'll work with you to make sure the experience is enjoyable and accessible. Some trails are easier than others, and we can discuss which walk suits you best.
